Ingredients
3 ripe avocados
1 lime juice
1 tomato (diced)
1/2 onion (finely chopped)
1 jalapeño pepper (finely chopped)
2 tbsp fresh cilantro (chopped)
1 garlic clove (minced)

The Story
Guacamole is an ancient recipe dating back to the Aztec Empire. Known in Nahuatl as "ahuacamolli" (avocado sauce), avocado was considered a sacred fruit by the Aztecs. Today it is one of the world's most popular dips.
Instructions
- Halve avocados, remove pits; scoop out flesh.
- Mash roughly with a fork (keep it chunky, not smooth).
- Add lime juice, salt and garlic.
- Fold in tomato, onion, jalapeño and cilantro.
- Taste and adjust salt and lime as needed.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips.
